6 Ways to Raise HDL Cholesterol

❤️ 6 Ways to Raise HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) Cholesterol

1️⃣ Have 125-150g fatty fish 2-3 times/week 🐟 🍣

2️⃣ Have 30-45g nuts daily e.g. pistachio

3️⃣ Have 30g soy protein daily (100g dried/250g cooked soy beans, edamame, tempeh, 300g firm tofu, 600g soft tofu, 750mL soy milk)

4️⃣ Exercise 🏃🏻‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

5️⃣ Weight loss (if you are above a healthy weight)

6️⃣ Quit smoking 🚭

Hope you found this useful! ☺️

P.S. 😍Increasing HDL cholesterol is particularly important if you have low HDL cholesterol

🩸HDL cholesterol is used to estimate HDL particle levels

🔍Research is ongoing with increased focus on how to influence HDL function, composition, size, and number of HDL particles itself.
