7 Tips to Make Healthy Homemade Pizza

  1. choose or make pizza bases with added fibre or wholemeal

  2. select or make thin pizza bases as usually there will be too much carbohydrates/energy for that meal

  3. add more veggies : When adding salad leaves you can add them on top near the end or add below other ingredients so they don’t dry out

  4. add meat/alternative sources such as chicken and limit processed meats

  5. use cheeses with less total fat and saturated fat for less energy such as bocconcini and light tasty cheese

  6. spread base with no added salt tomato paste

  7. share the pizza and save extra for next meals!
