Should I feel guilty when eating on special occasions?

When it's your birthday eat cake. Don't feel guilty when you have these sometimes foods. Avoid the diet trap cycle where guilt--> over-restrictive diet --> binge eating --> guilt and repeat. Sometimes foods are to be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet. Say no to negative associations with food such as "guilt-free" claims. Why should you even feel guilty in the first place?
