💡What are the Benefits of Weight Loss for those Above a Healthy Weight?

Sometimes we just need to sit down and think about why we do what we do or even highlight🖍 📖the obvious. Weight loss reduces risks of heart disease❤️, diabetes progression📉, is associated with improvements in kidney disease🚶🏻‍♂️, sleep apnoea😴, may improve symptoms of musculoskeletal problems🙆‍♀️(eg. back pain, osteoarthritis) , reflux 🤢and urinary incontinence🚽. For the last point on improving quality of life, self-esteem and depression we have to be careful that our weight loss approach is not causing mental distress, that it is sustainable, the individual’s thoughts and preferences are incorporated and the individual feels happy and comfortable with the plan. It comes down to true communication and understanding to ensure the client and the practitioner are on the same page! Let’s get on the same page for healthy win-wins! Happy Friday Everyone! 😊🤗🙏🎉
